To submit a keynote or panel speaker on the below topic areas, please contact Marisa Sladek at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Open Networks

  • Topic: 4G networks will deliver unprecedented data speeds within an all IP-compatible environment. How will this combination impact the availability of new applications, devices and services? Will “IP anywhere” lead to a new generation of non-voice based devices and how will these new devices impact the network?

Open Operating Systems

  • Topic: The fragmented operating system landscape in the mobile phone industry has been a barrier for developers in getting their applications to market. Current efforts to consolidate the industry around a small number of operating systems with an “Internet heritage” promises to lower the barriers for developers and reduce support costs. How will this consolidation occur? Which operating systems will win? And will developers from the Internet flock to these environments?

Open Business Models

  • Topic: The mobile industry is touting the promise of any device and any applications on any network. How will mobile operators tune their business models to adapt to this new reality? Will operators become application delivery platforms or simply data pipes? What new business models, pricing strategies, and service management techniques will arise and how will these mesh with consumers’ current “internet” based expectations?

Location Aware Applications

  • Topic: The rise of location aware services promises to bring with it new applications that will uniquely leverage the distinctive “mobile” characteristic of mobile devices. How will PAN, LAN, and WAN networks work together to enable these services? What type of devices will be able to take advantage of these capabilities and how will they be made available to consumers? What new applications will emerge in the areas of mobile commerce, entertainment, and social media and how will these lead to the consumer adoption and revenue generation opportunities for operators, OEMS, and developers?

Policy and Regulation in the Wireless Industry

  •  Topic: Policy Makers on Capital Hill and at the Federal Communications Commission face a staggering list of issues that may influence the wireless industry.  These issues range from lingering "net neutrality" and broadband policy battles, to the upcoming 700 MHz auctions, revised patent legislation, and implementation of the first responder and Homeland security mandates.  Policy experts on this panel will examine priority topics in Washington D.C. that will affect the industry's growth, innovation, and evolution.
